Highline Hotel – New York Wedding Photography
Steps away from New York City’s buzziest attractions, such as Chelsea’s art galleries, the restaurants of the meatpacking district, and the elevated walkway where this hotel takes its name, the High Line Hotel is a modern look into the 19th century. Known as the grounds where Clement Clark Moore wrote “Twas the Night Before Christmas”, this red-brick hotel is a mid-1800s landmark with original stained glass windows, moldings, and pine floors. Also known as the origin for the term “Big Apple” as the author grew apples on this grand property. Entering through a gated Parisian style courtyard, the interior of this hotel was built in a collegiate gothic style and furnished in Victorian and Edwardian era antiques. Pick up a rotary dial telephone to make a call, write a love letter on a vintage typewriter, kiss each other goodnight before turning out a Tiffany lamp. Feel the richness of New York history on your special day and in the timeless memories you’ll cherish from your wedding.
