4 TIPS FOR FINDING THE PERFECT PHOTOGRAPHER FROM AN EVENT PLANNER
We are honored today to be sharing insight on the important topic of finding the perfect photographer from one of our favorite wedding planners, Lauren from Loli Events. Full disclosure – Lauren is also one of our dear friends, and we have trusted her guidance and opinion on all things weddings (along with food and travel and life recommendations) since meeting her in early 2011. Lauren has planned some of the most incredible weddings all over the world, and the weddings we have had the privilege of working together on have always been so seamless and planned to perfection. We wanted to share the same tips Lauren gives her clients when beginning their search for a wedding photographer.
4 TIPS FOR FINDING THE PERFECT PHOTOGRAPHER:
- Don't rush making your decision... if you don't have a planner to guide you on suggestions... then ask friends for recommendations.... look through social media & magazines for images you love and do your research.
- You should not only love the work of your wedding photographer but also put an equal amount of consideration into the personality of the photographer. Make sure it matches with the kind of people you typically like to surround yourself with. Even if they are unobtrusive, they are rather close to you all day and night so make sure they make you feel comfortable and happy.
- Meet with your photographer (even if a skype session). This goes back to my first point. You should make sure the connection is there, not just how beautiful their work is on their site or social media.
- Hiring a wonderful photographer is super important but do not blow your entire budget on this... make sure you are realistic with how you are spending your money. It isn't ideal to spend all your money on a photographer and then not have enough to make the wedding fun & beautiful.
